How many CFRE points can I earn through Mi Academy?
Completing all eight specialties earns 48 points of CFRE credit, more than half of the 80 points required for first-time certification and more than the 45 points required for recertification.
Is Mi Academy an approved CFRE International provider?
Yes. Mi Academy has been approved by CFRE International to offer continuing education points.
How do I submit my Mi Academy points to CFRE International?
What you do need to do is keep your own documentation on file, in case CFRE International requests it or selects you for verification. Mi Academy automatically issues a certificate of completion for each course you finish, and this certificate includes everything you'll need:
- The date(s) you completed the activity
- The name of the activity organizer (Mission Increase)
- The title of the course or session
- The topic covered
- Total contact hours earned
Simply save your certificate when you complete a course. CFRE International does not track your attendance for you, so it's your responsibility to hold onto this documentation. If you're ever asked to verify a course and can't produce it, that activity won't count toward your continuing education requirement.
Do the points count for first-time certification, recertification, or both?
Both. Mi Academy's 48 available points apply toward first-time certification and recertification requirements.
How long do I have to complete the courses?
Every course is self-paced and on demand. Your progress is saved as you go, so you can complete courses on your own timeline.
What if I only need a few points, not the full program?
You can purchase a single specialty on its own for $375 per year, which includes all four courses in that specialty, Mi Advisor coaching, and the specialty forum.
Is Mi Advisor coaching included, and does it affect CE eligibility?
Mi Advisor is included with Plus and Premium subscriptions and single-specialty purchases.
Is Mi Academy's content faith-based, and does that affect CFRE eligibility?
Mi Academy's training is rooted in biblical fundraising principles. This does not affect CFRE point eligibility. Points are awarded based on CFRE International's continuing education standards, which Mi Academy meets as an approved provider.
