Introduction to Mission Increase

You were never meant to lead this alone.

About the Course

Many non-profit leaders are doing extraordinary work in genuinely difficult conditions, and doing it without a single peer who understands both the spiritual weight and the practical complexity of what they're navigating.

Mission Increase was founded by people who knew that feeling firsthand. Over 25 years, Mi has served nearly 3,000 organizations through local learning communities, coaching relationships, and a training curriculum built around biblical principles and real-world practice.

This course introduces you to that movement, the three pillars Mi uses to support you, training, coaching, and community, and the Collaboration topic's main deliverable: a Large-Scale Fundraising Event Plan that embodies what happens when ministry leaders build and share together rather than compete.

Frequently asked questions

I'm located outside the United States. Is Mission Increase relevant to my context?

Mi Academy was built specifically to serve ministry leaders globally, not just those near Mi's local communities in the US. The frameworks, principles, and tools taught throughout the program have been applied across diverse geographic, economic, and cultural contexts. You'll encounter examples and stories from ministries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and beyond throughout the curriculum.

What's the difference between Mi Academy and Mission Increase's local communities?

Mi's local communities are in-person learning cohorts led by Area Directors, primarily in the US. Mi Academy extends the same curriculum online, making it available to any ministry leader anywhere. If you're near a local Mi community, Academy can complement that experience. If you're not, Academy gives you access to Mi's full training program along with Mi Advisor, our AI coaching tool.

Is this course just an orientation to the platform, or does it have real content?

It's a genuine course. The Collaboration topic is about what becomes possible when non-profit leaders stop operating in isolation and start working alongside others, including Mi's community of practice, peer ministry leaders, and the champion networks that multiply when organizations collaborate intentionally. This course introduces that vision and the frameworks behind it.
