Mi Academy — Specialty 5
Community
Build a recurring giving community where champions feel they belong to something, not just that they give to something. Deep involvement across all five categories sustains it.
What You Will Build
Your Recurring Giving Program Plan
Across these four courses, you will develop a Recurring Giving Program Plan: a full blueprint for your monthly giving community, covering program identity, invitation strategy, onboarding, retention, and the involvement pathways that transform monthly givers into deeply committed champions. This is not a marketing plan. It is a community design document.

Introductory
Introduction to Champion Community
What does it mean to build a real community around your cause, not just a list of donors? This course introduces the vision for champion community, the role of recurring giving as a community foundation, and the five categories of involvement that give community its depth. You will leave with a hunger to build something sustainable.
30–45 min • Vision-casting

Recurring Giving Programs
This practical course walks you through designing, launching, and sustaining a recurring giving program. You will learn how to name and brand your program, build the invitation, onboard new members, communicate with them well, and develop a retention strategy that keeps people engaged. Mi Advisor will guide you through drafting your Recurring Giving Program Plan.
45–60 min • Practical operations, Mi Advisor drafting
Intermediate
Fostering Involvement (x5)
Recurring givers who stay at the giving level alone are not yet a community. This course teaches you how to foster involvement across all five P-E-O categories, what pathways to create for each one, and how to recognize and respond when a champion is ready to go deeper. Strategy, psychology, and real-ministry examples throughout.
60–75 min • Strategy and engagement
Advanced
Building Community
What transforms a group of givers into a genuine champion community? This advanced course explores the theology of belonging, the leadership required to build something that outlasts any individual, and the vision for a community where champions invite others to join. You will finalize your Recurring Giving Program Plan here.
75–90 min • Theology and long-term vision
"Monthly givers do not just sustain a ministry financially. They become the backbone of a community that belongs to the mission together."
