The Four Courses

From internal health to a sustainable plan

Introductory

Introduction to Ministry Culture

Your fundraising capacity is a reflection of your internal culture. This course introduces the connection between organizational health and external development, gives you a picture of what a culture of generosity looks like from the inside, and sets the vision for what this specialty will help you build.

30–45 min  •  Vision-casting

Foundational

Fundraising Plan

This is one of Mi Academy's most practical courses. You will learn how to build a complete Annual Fundraising Plan that integrates goals, strategies, events, appeals, and champion development into a calendar you can actually execute. Mi Advisor will walk alongside you through each section, helping you produce a real, usable plan for your ministry.

45–60 min  •  Practical planning, Mi Advisor drafting

Intermediate

Culture of Participation

What does it take for everyone in your organization, from board members to program staff, to see themselves as part of the fundraising effort? This course teaches the strategy and leadership required to build a culture of participation, where asking for support feels like a shared responsibility rather than an awkward obligation.

60–75 min  •  Strategy and organizational culture

Advanced

Metrics and Success

Most nonprofit metrics measure what is easy to count. This advanced course challenges you to define success in terms that reflect your values, not just your revenue. You will explore what it means to measure health, not just activity, and finalize your Annual Fundraising Plan as a document that embodies the culture you are committed to building.

75–90 min  •  Theology of success and measurement

"You cannot build a sustainable fundraising program on top of an unhealthy culture. The work starts on the inside."
