What You Will Build

Your Personal Invitation Plan

Across these four courses, you will develop a Personal Invitation Plan: a working document that captures how you will invite one specific champion into genuine partnership with your ministry. It is not a generic template. It is a plan built around a real person, grounded in your theological convictions, and shaped by Mi's framework of invitation across all five categories of involvement.

The Four Courses

From vision to identity, step by step

Introductory

Introduction to Mi Philosophy

What if fundraising could be genuine ministry, not a necessary evil? This course introduces Mi's Ten Principles of Transformational Giving, the theology behind invitation, and a vision for what partnership with champions can look like. It sets the foundation for every course in the specialty.

30–45 min  •  Vision-casting

Foundational

Making the Invitation (x5)

How do you actually invite someone into partnership, across all five categories: praying, giving, serving, learning, and sharing? This course is the tactical core of the specialty. You will learn the anatomy of a good invitation, craft language that honors champion dignity, and work with Mi Advisor to draft your Personal Invitation Plan.

45–60 min  •  Practical skills, Mi Advisor drafting

Intermediate

Fundraising as Ministry

Why does invitation work when it is honest, relational, and grounded in abundance rather than scarcity? This course explores the theology and psychology behind Mi's approach, deepens your understanding of the partnership model, and gives you language for helping your board and team see fundraising as a spiritual act, not just a revenue strategy.

60–75 min  •  Strategy and theology

Advanced

Champion-Sustained Ministry

What does it look like when a ministry is genuinely champion-sustained, not just donor-funded? This advanced course addresses identity, spiritual formation, and the long arc of leading a ministry that champions choose to belong to. You will finalize your Personal Invitation Plan and begin thinking about how to multiply this approach across your team.

75–90 min  •  Identity and multiplication

"Fundraising is not a necessary evil. It is an invitation for people to participate in God's work, and it changes both the asker and the giver."
